Protecting your idea  - It is important that individuals and small businesses developing innovative products can protect themselves from copyists and imitators. Intellectual property rights, such as patents, trade marks and registered designs, can provide this protection.

Design & Protoyping - All successful products have been developed via a systematic product design and development process. This process ensures that the product: is fit for purpose; appeals to a proven market; can be cost effectively manufactured and is innovative in design. This session will explain the process; highlight what to look for in a product design consultancy and explain how you can minimise your costs through doing elements of the process yourself.

In partnership with Bristol Central Library, Handsome IP and D2M Innovation we are offering free advice on the intellectual property rights that will best protect your idea or business and how to obtain them.
